And the other problem is......
These people love their titles but when it comes to accountability, they always point their finger to someone else.

I have been in a couple of meetings that obviously has BBBEE appointed managers. When it comes down to making decisions and driving projects, they always point finger to someone else.

You people always find yourselves in the worst situations, I can't ever imagine what working with a bunch of BBBEE appointed managers is like, did you end up having to do all the work on your own and the BBBEE lowlifes were just there to take all the credit?

It is not all about taking credit, it is about making decisions and driving the project. They do not want to take accountability. So decisions can take weeks. But I guess this is a norm for them when looking at all the delays anywhere else.

Tshwane is actually a good example why the DA does not have the moral high ground to look down on the ANC for employing cadres and unqualified people.

And I get the feeling you are talking about your immediate areas which were most probably not that bad even when teANC was in charge, the rest of Tshwane is a mess that is getting worse every day, I won't necessarily blame the DA for that but the DA didn't exactly go out of their way to make things better for the areas that were already getting the worst service delivery under the ANC.
I 100% agree with you about moral high ground re the DA - I personally think that all service delivery in established and developed local metros should be completely detached from any political involvement and political parties should keep to fighting for political power in those areas. I can only comment on my personal experience with our ward councilor and how our ward, and various others where family live, slipped backwards when the ANC took control of the metro last year during COVID. The DA still has a hell of a lot to do regarding service delivery to areas where none exist in Tshwane but I do not know enough about those areas in particular to comment about how lacking service deliveries are in those areas.

As for personal areas not being bad before the DA, I can 110% tell you service delivery has markedly improved in almost all areas, since the DA took control a while back and when the ANC took control during COVID last year, all services went to utter sh*t!

I honestly don't give a flying fukc who did what here or not? Corruption and favours to family & friends are at play here and now this is backfiring badly. Yep, it is true that many 'unqualified' people have become legends in their own time, multi-millionaires even, billionaires as well.

The fact remains not all qualified/non-qualified people are successful at certain jobs - that AND also it does NOT matter what your skin colour is, what your gender is, whether you're a fat ass or not.

If the job does not fit you, that is it...you will always be lacking something to complete the circle - no matter what you do and all I can say then is: Good Luck...

And not the Western Cape leader of the DA is in hot water because he doesnt have a degree.

So personally the DA is pointing fingers but look how damaging it is if you look at their own staff.

All of them? 50% of them ? 98% of them? 2% of them?

Similar to BEE, what are your statistics on WEE managers?

Just like Steenhuisen, a degree isn't a requirement for politicians.

Easy fix would be to say x qualifications needed for x role + experience. An independent record of cvs/applications must be kept.

Then out of that pull if two candidates matches for role give one a chance above other.

But if there's only 1 white guy with say engineer degree and job has only that degree as needed requirements... Don't give job to guy with lesser or no degree.

BEE should not apply outside of the CV application pool.

Meaning if no valid candidate applies then don't stop company from highering the best one.

BEE should also only effect hiring managers that are white, since the claim is they will be biased in hiring?

So, exempt black managers from BEE restrictions and allow them to hire who ever they want.

But anyways,

For government...

No qualifications, no hire...

If only white guy applied then, hire.(if meets requirements)

If non qualified, hire a foreigner...(if meets requirements)

SA had a brain drain, visa should allow foreigners as well as take no longer than 30 days to issue.

Why should stuff like this take forever...

Also, BEE... Aren't 8% of job roles supposed to be reserved for whites? And another 8% for coloured?

Why apply demographics for a job role, if there's maybe a suitable person local or foreigner.

BEE should be about when people are exactly equal applying for a role, not giving said role to someone not meeting any expectations...

When did BEE become about this?

Was it not meant to be tie breaker?

When did it become about total exclusion and punishment.

False equivalence

Pointing at the 0.00000001% who buck the trend proves nothing.

Nice try. No biscuit.
Exactly. People always pull out this little fallacy nugget when discussing degrees, while ignoring the overwhelming statistics that show otherwise.

They also ignore the subtle point that many of those people on that list have some university and were ahead enough academically to have covered the contents of the degree before dropping out (e.g, Gates, Zuckerberg, Wozniak).

Nah. Its way more than 35%. You only need to be a lazy one to get a government job.
No you don’t need an education. To quote Zuma: Look at me, I am the president with only a grade 3 education. What kind of message does that send

For the millionth time, there are no educational qualifications requirements for a politician, even one who is a President, until we actually have such a requirement the whole Zuma and his primary education thing is much hullabaloo about nothing.

It is not a hullabaloo about nothing. Take a look at the history of the ANC leaders who lead the country. Look at where the country is today. This is what uneducated leaders do to a country.
