It is not a hullabaloo about nothing. Take a look at the history of the ANC leaders who lead the country. Look at where the country is today. This is what uneducated leaders do to a country.
No, it has nothing to do with education.

Do you reckon "Doctorate in Psychology" president would do a better job perhaps ?

Or maybe explain why we have so many corrupt people who are highly qualified and how someone like Steenhuisen would save the country if he were to become a President tomorrow.

Just wish to point out that apparently rob mugabe was well educated, but was still instrumental, with others, in causing the economic decline of zim. Education is a reasonable indicator of potential success and capability, but it is not a guarantee. Having said all that, it's more of an exception than the norm. Having education (and experience) is far more preferable than none, given the option of choosing an educated surgeon vs an uneducated surgeon, both with minimal experience, for your surgery, I'm sure we all know which option is more likely to be chosen.

For the millionth time, there are no educational qualifications requirements for a politician, even one who is a President, until we actually have such a requirement the whole Zuma and his primary education thing is much hullabaloo about nothing.

There should be one, and there should also be an upper age limit like say retirement age, to qualify to be president, minister, or some other high level department. These people are making decisions that affect millions of people, you would want someone who can understand the multiple complexities of the various industries and demography in order to make the best decisions. Ideally the president should be able to grasp more than a basic understanding of each of the portfolios the ministers handle.

So, according to you, there is no possible correlation between Zuma's disastrous presidency that wrecked the economy and his complete lack of education resulting in an inability to even read large numbers?

Around 35% of senior managers in government do not have the necessary qualifications or credentials for their position.

This was revealed by the Minister of Public Service and Administration Senzo Mchunu in a written response to a parliamentary question posed by the Democratic Alliance.

Senior managers in South African government require at least an NQF Level 7 qualification, which is equal to a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma.

Now just think of laws, Rules and all sorts of things created under those circuimstances and add the fact they have no clue how to work with money.......The universe must cringe.

More or less the entire EFF has PHDs or university degrees at a minimum. do you think those muppets would do better at governing than the DA with their members who only have matric?

Maybe you can explain the correlation to me, use the highly qualified Robert Mugabe as an example, I wanna see something.

To me Zuma was a corrupt President who felt entitled to loot, he wasn't corrupt because his highest education is a standard 2. He further surrounded himself with other corrupt people who were very educated, they were also not corrupt because they are educated. So yes, if education was his problem we are going to have a hard time explaining why we have educated people who are corrupt.

I don't know about that cretin but I have heard of of an academic (with PhD in psychology) who is rather known for using his human behavior knowledge by manipulating female academics. I am surprised that he hasn't been 'out'ed yet.
