and all 5 belts say he ran away from his opponents. he is NOT a boxer. introduce a new move called the "shoulder roll" how funny that is. not once did he move forward to engage in the fight and from watching highlights of his other fights he did the same. only when the opponent wanted to actually box did he plant a fist. funny how he never ever got a mark on his any part of his body. no this is not one of those matches that can go down in the history of boxing matches. don't fool yourself. he is not one of the greatest. he got his belts from running away. true story.
I watched the fight a second time last night and I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Mayweather is a stick and move type boxer (he is not a brawler) with a particular emphasis on defence. Even with this boring, defensive, style he was able to throw and land more punches than Pacquiao. It was Pacquiao's job to restrict the movement but like everybody else before him failed miserably at it because whenever he tried to engage he took jabs and straight rights to scoring zones while not offering much in return.
Anyway, boxing has always and will always be about landing punches in scoring zones with taking as little as possible. It is not cock fighting.
Furthermore, It was only in the second half of his career that Mayweather switched his emphasis to defence. He knocked out plenty prior to that. Watch the Gatti and pre-Gatti fights, if you can, to see what I'm talking about.
