A cupboard corner fell on the front fender of my car. Thankfully it only left a dent and not a scratch in the clear coat and paint. The fender is aluminium, not steel, so I’m looking for a paintless dent removal pro. Any recommendations in Cape Town please?

Doesn’t aluminium have no ‘memory’ unlike steel and therefore requires more skill? Car is sentimental to me so not sure I want to take this on myself…

I'm a Defender owner, which is all aluminium, and that's how we deal with dents.

But all panels are flat, not sure about a curved surface.

Try it out, but remember to use the heat from the underside of the panel, otherwise you risk damaging the paint.

Or else go speak to a panelbeater

Get it repaired properly, its a car with value, you don't use a hairdryer lol i mean wth.

I used RenewMyCar but they're only in Gauteng ( i think ) . Price was good, just under R6k for 3 stone dents plus some touch-up.

Thanks guys. Anyone with personal experience of individuals or companies in Cape Town?

As mentioned white paint came off and there’s no scratch.

I took my 220d for a small dent in the fender, from another persons car door i assume, to panel techniques in brackenfell(part of engine techniques where i take my other car for services). Came out good and can't complain.

Asked how they did it and apparently just rolled/pushed it out. Not sure if this would work for you.
