The MEC of Gauteng department of education this week scored low marks after it emerged that his department had failed to set up proper financial controls.

This after he revealed this week that his department recorded an irregular expenditure of a whopping R1,2-billion in the 2018/19 financial year as a result of tender irregularities, among other things.

The Ramaphosa clan and their steamrolling corruption train... just no end to it. The closer the country comes to its end the bigger the government corruption and crime gets....

Irregularities and wastage are such western concepts.
What we should be taking away from this is that they have successfully l decolonizing over R1bn.

This should be another great story to tell.

Irregular expenditure and wasteful expenditure is not the same thing, nothing said here about wastage.

And at the very least, it speaks to the financial incompetence, the inability to manage any form of money, of your cadre, just like Zuma could not even manage his household budget. Just because the auditors could not find any corruption, does not mean that it isn't any. It means that, at the very least, he was so thick that he didn't find it necessary to put any proper financial controls in place. The purpose of this omission which one has to question, what was he trying to avoid being found out by not putting them in place, as required (for many decades now already).

Where do you think that the R1bn went to? Lesoofi should rather educate himself first on financial accountability, reporting and controls regarding public funds, and PCAOB standards, before meddling into petty school issues. But like all ANC cadres, and particularly evident in Rama WaWa 's cabinet, they are not appointed on competence, ability to execute, experience or knowledge, and haven't a smidgen of morality or even ethics.
