Item name: Party Star Deluxe tap, 5l Mini Kegs, CO2 cylinders and carry handles for the kegs
Age and condition: I dunno about the age, all in good condition. Kegs are brand new.
Do you include packaging: I think I still have the box for the tap somewhere.
Warranty: No
Reason for selling: I'm not using it at all.
Price: R600
Negotiable: Yes
Location: Pretoria, Moot
Shipping or collection: Happy with either. Shipping cost and risk will be on buyer.

Hi guys,

I've been contemplating this for over a year now and today I realized I haven't even used my party tap and kegs for more than a year. So I'm selling it.

I have the tap, two brand new kegs (never used) and several CO2 cylinders (like 5 or 6 or something).

I see the tap goes for around R870 now, and the kegs for around R80 each. I think R600 for the lot isn't a bad price?

I have to add it comes without bungs. There's a single grey bung that I'll include but it's a bit worn, so I was keen on replacing it and then BevPlus moved from Midrand. I just never bothered to source it from their CPT branch, to be honest.

So yeah, R600 for the lot.

"two brand new kegs (never used)", 10L :)

I'd call dibs but someone else would deserve it more!

Do the 2 x 5l kegs come filled with your home brew ;);)

If I had bungs to seal them, sure. I'll check my local brewshop, if they have bungs, add R200 and I'll add 10l of lagered pale ale for you.

Yep, works for ciders as well.

These kegs work like big-ass bottles. You sanitize them, and then add priming sugar into the keg, and then pour your beer or cider or whatever into the keg. When it's in, you seal it with a bung and let it carbonate for a week, just like with bottles. When you're ready to drink you slip it into the fridge, punch through the bung with the tap's spear and serve. It uses the little CO2 cylinders just to replace the headspace when you're serving, so they last for a while as well (2~4 kegs, depending on your preferred pressure).

It likes lower carbonation levels, and I think it'll do very nicely with ciders, TBH.

Yeah I don't mind postnet. You should look for the re-useable grey bung. It's pretty cheap and I've seen them sold from numerous homebrew shops. Beerplus in Cape Town is the main distro, but I see they're out of stock on their website. Like these:

If you look after them you can use them a lot. The one I have here is a bit worn, but that's because I abused it the last few uses. A bit of vaseline makes it go into the keg easily and protects it very well.
