JMPD admits ‘Resurrection Pastor’ Alph Lukau’s police escort was ‘wrong’

The metro cops have said it happened during the reign of the former police chief.
On Tuesday, allegations surfaced that the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) administration had improperly “blessed” controversial “resurrection pastor” Alph Lukau with official escort services.
Footage has been circulating that shows the pastor arriving in splendour in luxury vehicles for his sermons.
Take a look at one such clip first posted to YouTube late late last year with the pastor in a Rolls-Royce and flanked by JMPD motorcycles.

I actually know cops who can escort you at night. Some friends do it when they go out.

I have no doubt that if you pay a bit more and have the pastor's resources, you can get a blue light escort by day...

Resurrection Challenge – South Africans mock pastor on social media for 'resurrection stunt' – video
A pastor in South Africa who claimed to have performed a resurrection has sparked a social media craze as users took to the web mockingly mimicking his miraculous powers. A video of Alleluia Ministries International pastor Alph Lukau 'reviving' a supposedly dead man emerged over the weekend and quickly went viral. Within hours, the hashtag ResurrectionChallenge was trending on Twitter as users posted wry images of their own dramatic 'revivals' alongside screenshots of Lukau’s supposed miracle.

Except if they're non-profit organisations + PBO.

AMI is a NPO, I'm not aware of a public PBO registrar so can't check but they're half-way there.

Yes it's an NPO just like most charitable organisations and clubs and other social not for profit organisations. Just like it should be. The employees should pay normal income tax and the church shouldn't make a profit, so there is nothing to tax.

The objection was to religious organisations in general, obviously SARS should make sure that some of these are following the rules. But people contribute willingly. It is their money, if they want to make this one pastor rich, then so be it.

I assume you're Christian and you believe in a Jesus resurrection then if you think what I said was a joke?
Obviously. Well I hope it was a joke, because I can't understand how someone could be that ignorant otherwise.

there was some news headline in enca / enews last nite:
"christianity in crisis"

i'm not so sure about a crisis.
the more people who realise the dead cannot be resurrected, snakes dont talk, and men cannot walk on water - the better !

So this guy set up a "hospital" to record himself "healing" bedridden "patients"? These scamsters are going to start rivalling Hollywood one of these days, or will probably start hiring out of work Hollywood stuntmen to improve on their production values.

The challenge video where they resurrect a guy using beer is rather funny. He's even wearing white "gloves".

Are you claiming self ignorance?

You just need to ask yourself two questions:

- Why don't believe in this resurrection?
- Why do you believe in the other resurrection?

Then compare your answers and you'll see that they apply to both situations.
