Great pics. That parrot 1:1 is particularly stunning detail.
You really should unleash your phone there. It is so easy to take incredible shots. In my case the glass they used in my phone resulted in bearable purple fringe. But if you take enough shots you will get to know what your camera does and that is the most important thing in my view - no matter what you shoot with. If you know the characteristics of the device you use it is easy to surprise those who don't. The iPhone 6 is actually a rather capable imaging device despite what most will leave you to believe. As is the Moto G1 in the right hands, and even the Vodafone Smart Grand (aka Alcatel Pixi 3 5"). Will post pics of that later.

This kinda makes me feel bad for never stopping there. Three weeks ago I just pedalled on to Vermont. Next time I'll stop and see more of the place. Woild love to own a small pad there.

It's Vermont I live in. But that Gordon's Bay to Kleinmond drive is my absolute favourite. There is just so much to see and do along that road, as well as the most fantastic scenery.

Nice, you are lucky. I cycled from Stellenbosch to Vermont and it was incredible, the views and the accomodating motorist - sweet trip. We know people with a place there, our family place is in Dwarskersbos which I do like, but South coast will be great too.

That fine detail is remarkable. Sometimes if you capture creature like that from the front the DOF is small and not always on the head. Capturing from the side like you did is perfect.

Ha! not really it's just very scenic. Was about 120km which is not a lot for me. Did 2x CTCT the week before and 170km to Dwarskersbos the week after. By far the R44 to Hermanus is the most scenic and relaxed ride.

I use a Lifeproof case on my iPhone and finally got brave rough to stick my phone under water in a rock pool yesterday for some snaps.

They were terrible because I was balancing funny in some rocks and was shaking too much, but now I've started I'll give it another try sometime.
