Yesterday I saw this thinish snake with one of those females in his mouth. Not sure how the snake managed to eat it but it must have had a very quick strike to pull that off.

Snakes have amazing mouths... they can unhinge their jaw in the middle and the sides and swallow ridiculous size prey. What colour was it?

It looked like a skaap stekertjie, but more brown. Same diamond pattern on its body. Way to quick for me to snap a pic though. Today it's raining so I doubt I'll see the usual crowds of reptiles out and a bout on my way home.

Skaapsteker is very likely - if it wasn't constricting that is. Mole snake is the other option, but they constrict.

Small lizard hitching a ride on my bike. It moved over to the top of the triple tree and stayed there during the ride until I returned home.
