^ Thanks, I really don't know flowers.

Scary bug.

No worries at all - I know the previous one you posted - I've seen them around. I think it's a kind of weed. You get different colours including plain pink and plain yellow - that one seems to have both colours in one - very interesting and likely a hybrid. I'll see if I can find it in my book. They have glossy/waxy leaves if I recall. Very striking. I don't think it's a Hibiscus, though that stamen / stigma does resemble Hibiscus.

Beaut! That flipping cold west coast water though :D
Brings back memories of Saldhana, the Navy and route marches to St Helena Bay.
200+km is a moer of a trek - or did you start somewhere other than Stellies?

Please do let us know if you find the answer in your book. These flowers grow wild and are quite abundant at the sanctuary. Leaves kind of reminded me of pumpkin leaves.

I think we might have met tonight...

EDIT: On second thought, that looks like actual Melkbos. Was chatting to a guy flying a P4, down the road at Kreeftebaai.

I was flying my P4 as well. But only at Melkbos. Was gonna fly at Blouberg but light dropped a lot when got there.

In Dwarskersbos where we stay it's not too cold, yesterday the water was pretty nice with plenty of folks swimming.

It's a 170km ride from my place in Welgevonden to our beach house. From Dwarskersbos to Elands and back is 100km.
