PayPal payments for eBay - buying items to US address while in SA

I searched the forums for eBay and PayPal, and read quite a few threads, but none seem to be related to what I want to do. [TL;DR in last paragraph]

I have a contact in the US (they recently moved there). I have an active PayPal account and just registered on eBay.
When I try to link my Ppal to my eBay payments, it asks for a physical address. I'm not sure whether it wants my SA address (which is on my Ppal profile) or the US address where I want the items delivered. I don't want them sending the stuff directly to me here because I met somebody who will be able to bring them to me when they fly here (I don't trust our post office or want DHL involved due to customs, long wait time, and other headaches).

Is there anyone here who lives in SA, and has bought on eBay with Paypal and had the items delivered to a US address? Step-by-step procedure?

I got verified US address a few years back.

I added the address and checkout the goods, address I used was a forwarding company.

Then my account was blocked, because the address was not the paypal address.

I had to phone ebay to verify the address, they basically asked me if stayed in some other states before, I said No and then they said I am verified lol

The seller ships my goods after I was verified.

I think I will try what you did and see if I get the same results. I'd like to purchase a few items on Black Friday or Cyber Monday (not sure which one - they are electronic items and online/eBay).

My first step to link my Paypal account was using my SA address. When that was done, I added a second shipping address - my MyUS address in Florida.

Log into your eBay account and go to your settings page.

Add a new shipping address and add the US address. After that, make it your primary address.

I have an account with MyUS and I have done this. All my US purchases goes to this address and the end of the month I ship them all to SA. I have made this my default shipping address and works like a charm on eBay.

Only drawback, some sellers do charge taxes. If you are an international buyer, you don't have to pay them, but since you have a US address be prepared to pay them.
