pc as carry on luggage on an SAA flight?

I need to transport a PC (standard size tower case, no monitor) on a SAA flight from CT to JHB. Has anyone had any hassles taking their pc's on an SAA flight as carry on luggage?

Never tried it myself, but I'm guessing it'd probably be over the weight limit which they might give you issues about.

I've done it once but you struggle getting it into those overhead lockers after that I pack pc's in the box the case comes in mark it fragile and book it in or send it via courier. Servers I sent via courier safer I thought.

Dunno company payed give BEX a call and ask them what it would cost overnight insured.

I've done it, and they didn't hassle me, the only issue is that it was before the most recent threat, so things may have changed.
