What would you guys recommend, do not really want to spend more than R5000 and so it seems my options are very limited.

Checked Evetech and there are three options

Reviews suggest the Acer do not have the best response times, and the AOC have some strange colour and difficult to calibrate. The LG is a TN panel and most reviews say stay clear as the viewable angles and colour is washed out.

I have also seen many people saying after market sales service from Evetech is bad, haven't bought anything from them, so I would not know. Any other monitor or shop you guys can suggest would be appreciated.

It took over two weeks to deliver my LG from Evetech back in March. What GFX card is going to be pushing to that monitor?

RX470 will upgrade again later this year or next year waiting for a good budget friendly GPU.

Ah okay the RX470 won't really push the 144fps, but it'll get you over 60hz which you will notice, I mean my 1660ti doesn't push 144hz on 1440p but the over 60 is noticeable.
