I have mixed feelings about a 1080p 27". I have had one for a few years and would rather recommend sticking with a 24" at this res. Everything looks big and blown up otherwise.

And of course the flip side with a 1440p 27" is you need the power to drive the extra pixels.

I gave my old 27" to my parents, so I was in the same jam a few weeks ago. But then I opted for neither and stuck with my laptop monitor :D

I kinda like 27" 1080p. It give you a robocop-like feel (watch full screen for the proper effect):

Apparently if you buy with your miles you get up to 20% discount at Discovery partners, including takealot

I went and checked on Discovery's site, and it only states you can buy from Takealot with miles. For other sites, like Loot, you can buy vouchers with the Discovery app at an up to 25% discount. That's how I fund my steam wallet. R80 Steam voucher for 600 miles (R60 worth). I couldn't see anything like that for Takealot.

Yes, which has its benefits. In excel for example, the same spreadsheet on my laptop (1080p) and my 24” (1080p) is easier to use in the 24” as you can zoom out and still have it clear enough to read, thus allowing more real estate.

Not a hard concept to comprehend, but I can post pics if you like.

There comes a point where there just isn't enough pixels to render clear, easy to read letters.
Two 27" (4K & 1440p) monitors, both zoomed so that you can see from column A to BR. The higher resolution one is usable, the lower resolution one is not. It will depend from person to person, but back when I had a 27" display I could not extract any more usable real estate from it vs my 25.5" display.

Even on my 15" 1080p laptop I am limited by the resolution before I am limited by the size. I had it plugged into a 24" display at the office, and could not zoom in further on my 24" than on the 15". The resolution just isn't there.

Likely depends on the panel and user preference I guess. Ideally 27” 1440P, but that’s an entirely different price point.

I have a Dell 27" 1080p panel and it's not as nice as my 1440p 27", but it does the job.

As far as I’m aware you can’t buy vouchers for takealot. But you can use your miles, like you said, and by using miles at the partner stores you get a discount. Depending on your status and amount of products.
