Looks very neat.
I've got an older Logitech Z-series 5.1 set.
It's perfect for me. Great sound if coupled with an effect tool such as FXSound.![]()
My audio knowledge is limited, I have to confess.Dirty equalisers. I like Boom 3D more, and it is cheaper. I don't like DFX simply due to them releasing the same thing over and over again with a renewal on something which is supposed to be LTD.
There are some good VST plugins out there, but I am too lazy with equalising, except come to post-production. I simply take to long to get something that I can get accustomed to in pre. Dirty equalisers are cool, choose a pre-set and go, but it isn't optimal.
I still have a Logitech Z5500, but I run that through a DAC to get a little more. My daily speakers are an aged Creative Inspire T6500.
I want monitors now, and I don't know what to get, but I want something which isn't dependent on a sub, all I want is accuracy.
My audio knowledge is limited, I have to confess.
I've used Boom3D and it's cool, I agree. For some odd reason my integrated Realtek sound is better with DFX/FXSound. I get clearer and louder sound with it.
I'm also not a big bass lover. My bass on my woofer is set quite low in general.
Hopefully someone can assist you with suggestions for good monitors.![]()
I worked for a production company for a number of years until recently. I'm a Sys/Network Admin though.I have started doing post-production, hence the need, mostly voice. I know what I am looking at, but I don't know what to pick, but this is something I will consider later in Q4. Currently, I am looking at Solid State Logic plugin options than monitors because in the meantime my monitor headphones are more appropriate than a stereo speaker set.
