Hi guys

I have a 7600gt , and when iI go into the display settings there is and click on the 7600gt tab and then performance and quality tab, there are options for antialiasing and anisotropic filtering. Does this apply for the desktop only or does default it for games and everything. and do u guys use it?

Yeah, it applies to games. Most people choose the "advanced" option where you can set options manually. Generally I keep everything on high except for AA and AF, which make quite a big performance difference - those depend on the game.

my advise is leave everything but quality alone

make quality very high or high

AA and AF is normally done via the games themselves

Ya well, thats when you put 250people into a hotel for 5 days. :) ohya, I wanted to sit with my buddies and didn't feel like sitting in the warm "server room (hotel receiption)".

So the network was with me. 1x16port-1000mbit on my pc connected to 10 other 24port-100mbit/2port-upload1000mbit switches. And a 8port KVM switch. AND 7 computers.

Those setings only affect games or any other app that uses Direct3D or OpenGL. 2X AA won't be too much of a hit depending on the game but 4X will be like 3rd of the frame rate at best (depending on game/title and res)

Leave it at quality or high quality and you should be A.O.K :)
