Softpedia reports that performance throttling has been added to the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in Apple’s new iOS 12.1 update.

This performance management system will be used to lower performance levels if the device is in danger of an unexpected shutdown.

My 4+ year old iPhone 6 still shows 100% Maximum Capacity for the battery health. Yes, I do use it constantly.

Original battery and does still seem to hold its charge for most of the day, dependant on usage of course.
