How F***^'ing long would it take them to just allow the independent power producers to feed into the system???
Seems like they could implement that and take a lot of the pressure off.
Paperwork and bullcrap holding it up?

Basically have a look at Gweezy and his department for that answer.

Yes there are technical challenges from a grid connection point of view, but they are not impossible to overcome, but Gweezy's love for padding his retirement fund is a bit of a hurdle unfortunately.

And what about this?

Next it will just be Permanent Stage 4 is an option, it's not like they are working on real fixes.

Residents in the Eastern Cape as well as in the Vaal Triangle would LOVE to have Permanent Stage 2 instead of what they are cursed with right now ...
That's a bit broad. PE (also part of the EC) have what is arguably one of the best schedules.

Notice anything about stages 4-8?

How do they achieve that and still satisfy Eskom's demand for shedding however many MW needed?
They gradually add industrial areas from stage 5. Normally those areas are unaffected.
What about the water shedding schedule?
Hasn't materialised. Our dam levels have been rising slowly, but steadily, since June. I've got 12Kl of tanked rainwater and I'm considering selling off half of my storage.

They have 15GW on permanent off so not sure what else they need.
I'd like to see specifically which units at which power stations are online over time.

They have this massive "unplanned outages" number that just keeps growing, but the general public don't know what falls into those categories.

For example are there rotating failures with some units leaving that pile and new ones moving in, or is everything in that pile just permanently fscked because Eskom lacks the resources to repair it?

my question is how long can this madness go on for, how long does the fuse have left before one big explosion of something critical, and then electricity is but a distant memory.

I mean Zimbos get electricity 1 hour a day, how is anybody supposed to live that way, I mean solar can only do so much,
and especially when the thugs start breaking into peoples homes and stealing panels.

I mean Electricity is a critical piece of infrastructure, dont the idi0ts and mor0ns get that,

We are where we are because of:
Corruption
Mismanagement
State capture

Things that the cANCer excel at even though they mostly excel at dumbfukkery

I think that the above are actually the ANC goals for Eskom. Producing electricity is well down the list below self enrichment, voter employment etc. Hence zero real attempt to "fix" the electricity shortage and actually improve SA's economy for all.
