Permanent Stage 2 load shedding an option - but Eskom decided against it, for now

They should just dedicate all their resources to stop load shedding. I don't care how opaque they are. I have got a family to look after & job to do like most. Hardly anytime to browse eskom site for transparency.
Being transparent would make that fire under their arse pretty hot.

I don't know how Ramposer can go and stand in front of the international community anymore. His ANC-led government has virtually destroyed everything in this country.

I wonder if they feel any remorse or shame. Just another day in Africa, so long they keep getting a pay cheque each month and corruption continue? They can't give two shits about who thinks what about them. Because you are racist!

Dont be half arsed about it. There is fckall they have touched that has worked. They were even dumb enough to fck up their income stream from SARS.

That's the beauty of it, the ANC aren't paying their salaries and they can't pay for their conference in December. I wonder if they'll even make it to the '24 elections as an organisation?

Its actually an interesting question. Financially I think they will struggle to exist by 2024.. Cyril and co will probably help them to stumble along to that point, but even Cyril will start getting annoyed at having to continually fund his beloved organisation.

For Cyril, it is really a pocket money and he is likely to fund it close to the conference as he must be interested in being president of ANC & country. I doubt he will bale them out if/after his campaign fails or if there is non-anc government.

I'm sure they can find some of that R500billion they stole during lockdown to pay for it.

The moment you allow permanent mediocrity, you are practically begging for worse. Look at the state of just about everything in this cuntree.
However, too many weakminded fools, saferoom dwellers and slacktivists in za. Why don't we address the real problem or call it for what it really is? Rather hide among the msm mandate and ask safe questions? Pathetic to say the least and probably a reflection of character itself.

Hmmm, I read somewhere secondhand that Orania had gone off the Eskom grid completely. BUT, the price of electricity remained about the same as Eskom's. Still I suppose they (Orania) at least have it.

As far as I know, they built their own solar power plant and the money they make from selling electricity is going to be used to expand on the solar plant.

I keep on hearing people having friends in Soweto but how come no one here has friends in Orania ? It boggles my mind.

Load shedding has been a part of SA for 14 years and the ANC's voters have been perfectly fine with it.

It is already permanent.

They haven't managed to do it yet AFAIK. It can meet about 50% of the town's power.

But unlike municipal grids, they can make their own grid that has priorities done correctly. They can prioritise keeping businesses and industrial areas on, which will limit the damage of load shedding.

Solar won't keep them off Eskom either. They'll need those huge ass batteries to be off Eskom and possible other sources in the mix, but a small town like that should manage it in time.

Doubt they'd be off the grid completely, they only have a solar system which will help during the day not at night.

We've had load shedding every single day for 14 years?
