So PDV won a junior World Cup but he is not a real coach.

He got the Boks back to being ranked World Number 1, but he is not a real coach.

I think you have another agenda with PDV.

Its getting boring and lame now.

This is getting lame ;)

Just because people judge his coaching skills or style makes them have a different agenda?

We will see how it pans out over the next few years untill after the WC.
He will have to be brilliant as a coach to still be around in 2011. Average life span of a Sringbok coach is probably around 2 seasons...

I may have my opinion. No there is NO agenda. I want to be proved wrong.

As stated a true coach is what Deans did. He saw a weakness in our team and in one week changed the fortunes. He made us look like chimps from champs a week before. It was not a fluke it was a deliberate and well calculated move. Did PDV see it coming? NO! He was to busy stroking his laurels.

What is realy tiring and boring is this constant rant and reference to his achievements. Please You give us technical reasons why PDV lost the last game so badly.

We never won at Suncorp stadium, nothing to do with pdv... OZ play out of their skins there, very comfortable winning there...

Well seeing as he is stats wise the second most successful ever I think you have found the proof. Opinions are not proof whether they be that PdV is good or not. The digits are not bias ;)

Yes after losing 4 games in a row Deans must be the better coach....... Do not be an idiot please.

Because the players were playing badly... I can think of only one player that had a good game on the springbok side. We were trumped at the breakdowns time and again... how is that PdV's Fault? Must he don his scrumcap and go help Brussouw and Smith?

I actually agree with Penguin

How do we go from being one of the best Bok teams to ever come from South Africa to the laughing stock of the world in 7 days? Let's be honest we didn't lose, we got a trashing.... And it stings man, it stings pretty bad.

What will the excuses be if we lose to NZ this Saturday?

But really Penguin, i agree with Devil. Your comments are ridiculous.

You praise Deans after one win and say he is a better coach, when it was his first win in the Tri Nations.

Come on man. That was just a stupid thing to say.

If you make stupid cases like the real deal robbie deans taht lost 4 matches is wayyyyy better than PdV who won 4 back to back i think I am allowed to ask you to stop being an idiot don't you. Or are people who can not count but are older than 10 these days classified as something else?

Look ill draw it

PdV Victories in the tri nations 2009: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 4

Robbie deans victories in tri nations 2009: 1 = 1

Sorry I take back the idiot statement as that is unfair you seem to be merely mathematically challenged.

A better coach, maybe.

We can't say for sure. However to turn a losing team around and win one of the best Bok teams ever to field for SA and not just winning but thrasing them is another story. He should get credit for that ;)

Go look at my post

Why were NZ seen for 8 years as the most dominant force in world rugby? Cause they have a great winning %... What does PdV have with this bok team? Repeat after me: A great winning %.

Oh it's not a question of they were made to play badly by a changed and rejunivated OZ team? PDV's fault it is yes! He did not make the required changes to counter the Ausie changes. He did not change the gameplan, He took the wrong decisions during the game with replacements. All was discussed and still here we are with people screaming about stats. Each game counts and I can assure you Saturdays game is not going to be a picnic because of this loss, we showed our weakness and NZ will pounch on it. We have to wait and see HOW PDV will react to the loss and see the result.

I for one believe the resulttant loss was good if seen as a wake up call. Its for us to loose the tri-nations as if NZ wins it will be our fault and then PDV must be fired.

Like the WC victorious team (well 95% of it)that got a 49-0 thrashing the year before winning the WC?

Come now where are your answers? Everybody has a bad day at work. Expecting to beat the Aussies 3 times (twice in Aus) back to back is stupid.

You are a joke. All sort works like this... Someone comes up with a team plan then the rule the sport for a while, then they get countered by another team so the first team takes a bit of punishment and adapt again....

You do not seem to know a great deal about maths nor rugby. I asked so questions care to answer them instead of ranting? Or still struggling with the 1 = 1 part of my post?

Ag man go read real rugby sites where they rate coaches and see where PDV slots in. Do not even pretend he is the best coach in this world, maybe in yours but not in the real world.

Its not the win, its tha fact that he thrashed the Champions with deliberate and well calculated changes. Do yourself a favour and go read about the changes he made and why and then look at the result. I did and called this possible loss even before the game. Every real rugby expert, i am not one, stated that the Dean team selection was one to be beat. We lost and lost well.

It must be nice to be a plastic suppporter like Penguin.

The team loses, then you blame the coach and rant rant rant. The team wins, then he says, thats not good enough. Only if he is STILL winning by 2011 will it be good enough.
