Like the WC victorious team (well 95% of it)that got a 49-0 thrashing the year before winning the WC?

Come now where are your answers? Everybody has a bad day at work. Expecting to beat the Aussies 3 times (twice in Aus) back to back is stupid.

No true. I agree with you to. But come on, they thrashed us pretty bad.
What do you think the excuse will be if we lose to NZ?

I can read the PdV response now:

"They had 3 weeks off. Our team played for 3 weeks straight"

Why?

If he wins the Tri-Nations are you going to give him the credit he deserves?

So if we lose, he gets fired but if we win then PDV isnt good enough.

Ag man go read real rugby sites where they rate coaches and see where PDV slots in. Do not even pretend he is the best coach in this world, maybe in yours but not in the real world.

Its not the win, its tha fact that he thrashed the Champions with deliberate and well calculated changes. Do yourself a favour and go read about the changes he made and why and then look at the result. I did and called this possible loss even before the game. Every real rugby expert, i am not one, stated that the Dean team selection was one to be beat. We lost and lost well.

And they (the Aussies) lost and lost well 4 times back to back...... What You Need to Learn

Should Robbie deans then not be fired? Why did it take him so long to win the first one in this years T-nations?

He would have been fired or even close to be fired if they lost this last game. Thats how OZ/NZ rugby works. Maybe you will see Dean in the WC with a potent team to beat.

Penguin, you are living in a dream world.

Sorry PB but I know you rate JW as a better coach but he took worse hidings, had a poorer record and made some worse choices in his career. Why do you favour him and yet you hate PdV?

Like I said the PLAYERS played k#k. It does not help that the coach draws up a game plan and the players failed to execute it..... Please remind me who from the springboks players played brilliantly this weekend.

I will have more respect for him but a game or two wont change my mind. I will wait a while longer and see the future results before like the WC in 2011 before judging him the best "coach" or rather manager. It seems to me from articles that Smith/Muir is the real coaches compensating for PDV's technical shortcomings.

What is so different in the stadium? it still is just a rugby fiels, squuare, four corners two trie lines etc.
The same is said about Ellis park yet it's almost impossible to win there... Ellis park it altitude...

There you are wrong again. The players did not play as bad as they were made to look by a younger, faster and rejunivated OZ team, selected by no other than Deans, with better combinations that made the boks look static and desperate. They countered our rugby plan with a better game plan. Only a good coach that can achieve that. I would guess that if we played another two or three games against the same team we would be in serious trouble playing the same team and game plan we fronted against them.

Penguin, you are a troll and you know it.

Your mentality is:

If the team wins, the players played excellent!

If the team loses, the coach made bad decision and he is the reason why we lost.

So the players can never be blamed for a poor game? Are they incapable of having a poor game?

Er... the Boks won because of the coaches strategy in Perth, they lost because he changed that strategy on Saturday. Ergo, it is the coaches fault.

So why did they lose 4 out of four games previously?

Please learn to count.... 4 > 1

Yes so its the altitude at Ellis Park and Loftus, what is the excuse for Brisbane?

:erm: Are you seriously asking this question? Damn also does not seem like you had biology nor geography at school...

There we go again, You yet have to contibute to this and the original closed thread with facts apart form ranting statistics. You never answer a direct question and now you do again what you did in the previous thread again by attcking persons with opposing views. You are deliberatly defying direct instructions from RPM as as to name and call other posters and attacking them personally. It is clear that you want to bring this thread in disrepute again.

So unless you want to contribute with facts to couter my arguments you may take your leave.

Erg how do you know.... Dick muir is that you?

We were to slow to get to the break downs, we also went up for the high ball instead of hanging back and tackling as soon as they got it...

Please go sit with penguin as you are appluing the same logic as him... which is none in this case.

I said it before. Each and every time his head was on the block I was the loudest one cheering on his dismissal. I hate him 80% of the time. But he did good. No matter how one looks at it.

We as South Africans are Poor losers. No one can ever deny that. We took a record hidding under JW against the Ausies. I'm fully aware of that. But lets be honest. How do you go from a 100% win record in T-nations with the best Bok squad ever to have played for South Africa and you cock it up so bad?

I blame that squarely on PdV for his substitutions. Yes we where out played I don't disagree but they just bend over and took it up the O-ring. They never had a plan B and the coach never stood up and made a decision or to change the game plan.

What did he do instead?

1. Brought on the worse fk'ng replacements know to man
2. He blames the ref.

*Yes the ref was not on par I agree*

But you don't lose a game because of a Ref. If he works against you work with what he wants. Don't keep on bumping your head trying to prove a point.

I HATE LOSING FFS !

Your facts are ridiculous!

You blatantly ignore the biggest fact of them all.

PDV won 4 games this season. Deans won 1 game this season.

yet you say Deans is the better coach. How can anybody take what you say seriously, if this is the way you think?
