So why did they lose 4 out of four games previously?

Please learn to count.... 4 > 1

:erm: Are you seriously asking this question? Damn also does not seem like you had biology nor geography at school...

He forwarded a team that was not up to scratch and he had key players missing. Please go read up about their team and who/what they are and come with your views on that facts. Look at why and how he replaced so many players in his team and then look at the outcome of that specific changes during the last match. maybe then you will learn something about rugby, coaching and tactics. Deans changes and tactics worked and NO it was not a fluke. PDV stayed stagnant with a winning team and gameplan and LOST!

I said it before. Each and every time his head was on the block I was the loudest one cheering on his dismissal. I hate him 80% of the time. But he did good. No matter how one looks at it.

We as South Africans are Poor losers. No one can ever deny that. We took a record hidding under JW against the Ausies. I'm fully aware of that. But lets be honest. How do you go from a 100% win record in T-nations with the best Bok squad ever to have played for South Africa and you cock it up so bad?

I blame that squarely on PdV for his substitutions. Yes we where out played I don't disagree but they just bend over and took it up the O-ring. They never had a plan B and the coach never stood up and made a decision or to change the game plan.

What did he do instead?

1. Brought on the worse fk'ng replacements know to man
2. He blames the ref.

*Yes the ref was not on par I agree*

But you don't lose a game because of a Ref. If he works against you work with what he wants. Don't keep on bumping your head trying to prove a point.

I HATE LOSING FFS !

Lol, yeah I agree I hate losing but FFS 4/5 games won in the Tri nations is bloody marvelous.....

Look PdV will make mistakes. We will lose a couple of games. We will get unhappy about it. BUT being a retard and ignoring facts and stats is really really stupid (not talking about you PB :))

The ref cannot stop you from scoring tries! He cannot prevent you from collecting the ball in the loose. Blaming a ref is a poor excuse. Maybe there was 10 incorrect decissions amounting to 10 minutes of a 80 minute game. Thus where were we for the other 70 minutes then? I would blame the ref if at least ONE of his deccisions influenced the outcome if it was a close game but this was not even close it was a major thrashing of the Champions. That was not PDV's doing (He does not have the skillss) It was not the Boks doing it was DEANS doing by selecting a better team on the day, key player returned, better combis were effected, new faster blood was introduced and we saw the result. They wanted it more, they were faster, they played more intelegently and they thrashed us well.

Erg how do you know.... Dick muir is that you?

We were to slow to get to the break downs, we also went up for the high ball instead of hanging back and tackling as soon as they got it...

Please go sit with penguin as you are appluing the same logic as him... which is none in this case.

When something has worked for the last 4 matches and then the POA changes for the fifth (which was a disaster), well either the coach is so completely useless that he can't control his squad or, and this is the more plausible explanation, he made a mistake and changed the strategy.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Haha! So you do admit to it! :p

But I quite agree, in this instance I do believe that de Villiers made a mistake. Hopefully he learns from it (as does the squad) and we can put this whole ugly Suncorp Stadium mess behind us.

I think PDV hasn't done a bad job since, many say he "inherited" a star studded team, yes that's true in away but some ones got to make them work together. Most of the time he gets things spot on but the one thing thats annoying me at the moment is the Fly half position. Yes I know the Natal guys are known for being a little over protective over our Sharks players but come now, who is the better complete fly half? Morne or Ruan?

Morne for me is a kicking machine, tell him to kick the ball through the posts and 9/10 times he will do it for you, but where his good at that, he lacks the vision that a true flyhalf needs. Ruan for me has this. He spots things we cant see on our TV. He creates so much more and dictates things much more better than Morne. I say for Saturday PDV should swap Morne and Ruan's positions and see how things go even though me being a Sharks supporter would love to see Frans Steyn start the game, lets see what Morne has to offer in the number 15 jersey.

To be fair the game plan changed in the 4th test and we were scintillating, scoring 4 tries. Don't be fooled by the scoreline, that game was done and dusted by half time and then we took our foot off the pedal some what (it's been a long season). We thumped OZ playing their running game.

We could very well have done the same in Brisbane. People are going on how we were outplayed but 65minutes into the game the score was 9-6 for Gods sakes, hardly a thrashing. Yes OZ had 3 tries disallowed but we had the Brussuow trie disallowed and Jacque Fourie came very close on 2 occasions to scoring as well so we were extremely competitive...

They were not tries but yes i thought the aussies thumped us and we got lucky not to get a whipping. The score did not do the aussies justice, the ripped us a knew one.

How could they rip us a new one when the score was 9 - 6 with 15 minutes to go.

The Aussies couldnt score - there was 3 points in it. That is hardly an ass wipping.

Obviously we either saw different games or viewed it form different perspectives (Soccer?). How many times did we breach the OZ goal line as compared to the many times they breach ours of which only two counted. We looked like a beaten team and not the champs we are supposed to be, were we found out? Were we just lucky? We will experience that realization on Saturday when we face a restored AB team as we just faced a full strenth Wannaby team. Our hope is that Henry is now overconfident and follows the wrong game plan. My hope is the PDV wake up from his lusiv "dream" and realise his big mouth is becoming a major embarresment to ALL South Africans and a yardstick to which the boks will be measured in future..

PS: Excuse me this was a Ass whiping "encounter of the third kind' where the champions fielded against a team that we should have burried if only we were up to it. The final score was ... wait for it.... 21-6. We did nothing during the last 29 minutes and even less during the last 40 minutes.

Are you guys Ozzie supporters...?

We don't have lancelot commenting yet we have the same protagonist stirring again and again...seems to be one common factor between this and earlier thread.

btw...if a team wins 4 times does that mean they should win forever or either the coach is crap or the players are crap or the ref or whatever???

Get real...winning multiple consecutive times just mean you are closer to a loss because the other teams are not going to keep losing.

....or maybe their coach is crap, players crap, ref against them, sun in their eyes, altitude etc etc

@ penguin - I give up with you. You have another agenda.

You should rather support the Ozzies. You cannot expect the Boks to win every single game. That is impossible.

You need to stop stirring. You blast the Boks, saying they got ripped apart, yet you never seem to compliment the Boks in them being BRILLIANT in winning 4 out of 4 games.

Its like you waiting for PDV and the boys to fail, so you can come on here and stir stir stir.

Give it a break.
