Petrol price drop - today?

All the news reports I find about the petrol price drop doesn't mention when exactly it's taking effect. Saw one that mentioned it's today; but unsure if it's tonight at 12 or if it's dropped already. Anyone know?

As a rule of thumb, always remember that Petrol decreases or increases on the first Wednesday of the month. In addition, the announcment for the changes always happen on the on last friday of the month.

The price of petrol (both 93 and 95) will decrease by 69c/litre, diesel (0.05 percent sulphur) will decrease by 54c/litre, and diesel (0.005 percent sulphur) will decrease by 51c/litre.

Fortunately for me there are two nearby petrol stations that seem to have gotten into a diesel price war with each other

Slight correction, the announcement is made on the Friday before the first Wednesday of a month. The announcement and drop can happen in the same month.
