so here is a fun fact.
you and your 2 friends are all struggling with an issue and decide to phone 808.
you are a post paid contract subscriber. on say anytime 200
friend A is a pre paid contract subscriber, on say a top up 200
Friend B is on pre paid, no contract at all. he spends R800 per month on airtime, but there is no contract.
all 3 of you are in a suburban area with good reception, I mean you are on mtn....
you are on hold for 5 min the annoying music is playing and they answer your call, sort out your problem and poof, you are done, 5 10 15 minutes whatever, its quick, relatively speaking.
Friend A was still on hold when you were done.
he is still on hold half an hour later,
he is still on hold an hour later.
finally they answer his call, 1 hour and 45 min after he made the call. they help him and he gets sorted.
4 hours after he made the call friend B finally gives up or gets an answer, its hard to say what he did because he was a foaming mess on the floor, the annoying music drove him insane eventually.
now this might seem like a cute little story, but it is factual, try it. I have its not fun.
WE logged a ticket due to the insane discrepancy in answer time when trying to deal with a human on the other side and we got an official response. "Post paid contract subscribers get a higher priority on the call center line because they spend more money with mtn"
any one else brave enough to attempt the exorcise and post hold times before a consultant answered?
