Here comes another thread, hopfully useful!

Does anyone have any recommendations with regards to series or documentaries relating to photography?

I will edit my post as people post to keep it consolidated! Also maybe give a small desc of the program if possible? And also level..

Series
How to take stunning pictures - BBC 6Parts - Basics

Documentaries/Movies
Fiberglass and megapixels - Surfing photography in Hawaii (just watched it)
War Photographer - James Nachtwey covering war
BBC South Africa In Pictures 2010 - Rankin travels to South Africa to find out more about the country that has inspired much of his work

That's all I can think of for now! Please post if you can recommend anything!

Thanks
Freaksta

Movie: "War Photographer" - Documentary style movie follows James Nachtwey around as he covers war.

Book: Bang Bang Club by Greg Marinovic and Joao Silva - Not so much about photography but history, in particular the violence leading up to the election in '94 and immediately afterward, but also other areas (Sudan, Bosnia/Serbia, etc), told from the perspective of these legendary photographers. James Nachtwey cameos in this book too.

Yea sure ;) I've watched War Photographer and one or two other I can't remember.

Thought a list would be a good starting point, from it you can read a bit and figure out if they are worth watching.

You should watch all of them and then report back to us with a short list :D

Yup, im also guessing i wont be able to get 80% of those! They are most likely not going to be easy to find! But i will definitely try get what i can and then add them to the list if they are worth the watch! Im not going to add them to the list yet because they are just names, if anyone has seen any of them and can recommend and post a small description that would be great then they can be added to the top list!

EDIT: Only manage to find 8/42 in a basic search... Will do the rest of the list this evening!
