Hi Guys

I had enough of trying myself, when out and abt with the family i tend to use auto mode more, cos to scared to loose the great shots. Now i need lessons in using the right modes at the right times and so lessons it is. But i am looking for someone who can probably teach after hours or maybe on a weekend. Any help with someone you can recommend????

From what I've seen, photography classes seem to be very very expensive. If you're just doing it as a hobby you'd rather teach yourself. If you have the net and a good sized bandwidth cap, there's plenty of tutorials on youtube.

Otherwise, I found this on gumtree , or use Google.

Ask your local camera shop - they should be able to recommend someone.

I spent Father's Day with my daughter walking around the Pretoria Zoo on a photo course and we're both gone from chimp mode to full manual mode in just a couple of hours. Of course Av and Tv modes have their place but gotta love the manual exposure settings.

Anyway, try to find someone who is prepared to spend half a day with you.
