Dr. Christian Hellwig of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, found evidence that information in our central nervous system is phase encoded, a type of coding that allows multiple pieces of data to occupy the same time. He said, "Our thoughts, our will, our consciousness and our feelings show properties that could be referred to as spiritual properties...No direct interaction with the known fundamental forces of natural science, such as gravitation, electromagnetic forces, etc. can be detected in the spiritual. I must admit that I would be pretty devastated if science one day determined that a spiritual world and/or supernatural deities probably or certainly exist. What a massive letdown that would be - truly the most retarded possible explanation for our existence.

What gets me just as much though, is that those individuals with the confirmation bias to search for this type of rubbish, are in no way deterred by the rampant dishonesty that is endemic in their little circles. They run around harping on about spirituality and all sorts of other fluffy nonsense that carries the implication of goodness and honesty. Then when they find out that there is no goodness and honesty to be found in the article at all. They don't even skip a beat, they just run off to find the next BS article that might give them the warm fuzzies.

It worries me that there is a whole host of people out there that read this **** and allow it to shape their world view. When a simple google search of the scientists involved will easily set you straight. And these people breed.

Someone will be sitting at a braai and they will recite this article unfortunately. It will spread.

But that is the way most people are - they look for things they agree with, and can't be bothered to look up alternative points of view.
