I think it is a great idea. Banks, network, ISP should all start reimagining how clients operate. For us clients, price is king, then value. So if I can offset the cost by buying my groceries from PnP or boxer and get shopper points in form of data, then that's value. We both win.

Charging for data and then not getting value out of it is a no go.

Wanted to ask, has any of these actually been successful?
FNB seem to still be going so maybe it is possible. Not sure if they're making money though and their base can't be all that large.

PNP already offers credit cards, now deciding to be a mobile network?

I've got their SIM in 2nd SIM slot of spare phone. Useful have their free data + min available. Their data is too expensive though. I'd top up the free allocation if it was similar to CellC - thinking that 50GB for R500, valid for 180 days would be sweet.

No mention of what network they'll use?
