My guess, it'll plummet more. They've been alienating a lot of customers recently with the new "Qualisave" stores.

I don't think they'll survive this new business strategy. The latest CEO and his ideas will break them

My view as a customer only. Their Smart Shopper was a disaster. You had to go to a kiosk or scratch on your phone to first LOAD your vouchers and then go pick your items and then reap the rewards.
Plenty of times I didn't have time to do that as I had to rush to get things or get home, so when I later checked and saw that I could have saved some more, that just made me mad.

With Checkers on the other hand just give you the rewards as you get to the till. No hassle with a kiosk or having to first load vouchers via a phone.

Not sure if PnP changed that, and I don't really care, I got a deep disliking of that practice. Was a poor implementation of a rewards card. I even e-mailed them to tell them that they should AUTO load the vouchers and that would then be an extra surprise to the customer at the till, but I got some stupid reply from them.

Was there also not a time where they just decided to expire your smart shopper points too. Damn man. I earned those points and then they just disappear because I forgot to use them by YOUR date.

Couple that with the slow checkout queues and I'd rather spend my money at Checkers and avoid the aggravation.

By contrast, Shoprite woos customers inside by accepting cash deposits.

And then there's this:

As long as you people are not pulling some underground boycott on PnP.
