A man has handed himself over to Randburg police after allegedly shooting a man in what seems to be a road-rage incident on Monday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said the two had an altercation in Bryanston, Johannesburg, at which point the man allegedly shot his victim.

In a strange turn of events, after the shooting, the man allegedly loaded his victim into his car and drove him to the hospital before handing himself over at the Randburg police station.

The victim is said to be in critical condition in Sandton Mediclinic.

The police are still gathering information about the incident

He is going to regret losing his temper like that. Even though the fact that he took the guy to hospital and then turned himself in will count in his favour, he is probably still looking at jail time - which he deserves IMHO.

Unless the guy came at him in a threatening manner after being instructed not to do so.

Without knowing the details of the story, if he have a firearm you should be avoiding these kinds of confrontations as much as possible - you have a lot of responsibility.

Unless you are threatened, unholstering your firearm in a verbal altercation should be considered aggravated assault (not sure if it is in SA).
