I know this is very embarrasing but i've had it now for about 3 months and its not going away. On the lining on the bottom of my eyelid I have what looks like a small white pimple. thankfully it doesen't hurt or effect me in anyway but it's worrying me that it hasn't gone away yet. Has anyone had this before and/or know anyway to get rid of it?

I don't think it's a pimple.

Some people call it a "horn". It's usually some type of skin growth, that could become slightly larger and or hard.

A family member had it once and the doc froze it off. Go speak to a doc ;)

Don't worry about it... In some cultures it is considered attractive.

Have you tried to scrape it off? It might be some over dividind cells. A wart if you will. If it really bothers you go consult a doctor and see what can be done about it.

I had one. I squeezed it out with sterilized tweezers. No real pain, but a definite creepy factor being so near the eye.

Could it not be an 'eye sty'

What exactly is an eye sty? Another name for eye sty is hordeolum; it is an abscess of the oil gland that is around a hair follicle on either the top or bottom eyelid.

The bacterium Staphylococcus aureus is responsible for 90-95% of cases of eye styes. An eye sty can develop as a complication of blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelid).

The first sign of an eye sty is generally redness. Within hours you will have tenderness, and pain in the affected area. The eye may feel irritated or "scratchy". Later symptoms can include swelling, discomfort during blinking of the eye, watering of the eye, and sensitivity to light. A common sign of an eye sty is a small, yellowish spot at the center of the bump that develops as pus expands in the area.

I use a small metal object (rings work well), heat it up with fiction and gently touch the sty with the ring.

Edit: +1 on PKs suggestion for pics... would help to identify it

hot objects willingly placed near the eye? You crazy man!:p

Lol,

1. You're not heating the object too hot that it blisters your eyelid
2. Please don't stick hot objects in your eye, its just to touch the eyelid :p

It could very well be a harmless, fatty deposit ....... I've seen kids with fatty deposits so why not?
