Ping with Mobile Phone

I am not able to ping an IP or web address now that I connect through my phone and Vodacom.

Is there a setting I can check to enable this?

Welcome to the forum!

Can you surf other sites? If you can't surf at all, there is a connection problem. Did you use the correct init string found under advanced modem properties? This is phone dependent, for Nokias usually at+cgdcont=1,"IP","internet"

Aren't you maybe pinging a server that does not respond to pings? Try a different server - www.saix.net

I can surf the web fine. Where do I have to put these settings? In my phone?
