Pit bull disfigures a greyhound at Sea Point Promenade

If the pitt bull was on a lead and the owner had full control, then this woman was being stupid. You are an idiot if you let your dog close to these creatures and their delusional masters.
Evidently, the owner did not have full control over the pibble.

In this case, it's the greyhound owners fault. You do not take another dog to go "greet" a pitbull. That's just asking for trouble. I had 2 pitbulls and believe me, they regard themselves as "protectors", and will attack at any time it feels that something is a threat to you or itself.
Agree. Pitt owners have no control over their creatures. She was an idiot for letting her dog close to those things. 100% her fault.

Its owners 99% of the time, you never took the time to properly train them from birth to not attack other dogs..So many people want dogs but they are not "dog people" leaving the dog to its own devices after it grows up, especially with a pitbull is asking for trouble.

Could the @SPCA please ban pit bulls? Not existing ones but ban them from breeding, in 15 years time there will be no more pit bulls.

lol, multiple accounts on facebook posts about this that the greyhound was off leash and ran up to the pitbull. I say get farked to the greyhound owner.
I have to agree.
Madness to let one's dog run loose in a busy area like that
I would guess that Rosie came within the length of the leash and the pit simply grabbed her; unreasonable to say the owner had no control.
“It was upsetting, so I putmy dog in the car and we went to an animal hospital in Kenilworth,”she said.
By all accounts, Kenilworth costs megabucks just to cross the threshold.
