I'm looking for a pizza in CT that will beat Colcaccio. Thin base. Good quality ingredients. Similar budget.

Help!

Might try Victor's actually
If you can face the Tygerburg waterfront, there's a place called Vesuvius. It's slightly "northern suburbs" fake Italian decor but the pizza is authentic and excellent

Get out to Giovannis in Waterstone Mall in Somerset West. Best pizza you’ll have anywhere.

Some of you might recall that many months ago I said I had the mildly dubious honour of being (by far) my local Debonairs' top customer. You called me names, but none of you seemed to grasp that my branch bucked the trend and had amazing pizza, and what magical delights my family and I enjoyed from them every week.

Well, that ended a month or so ago when they fired the manager and brought someone else in. My gawd the stuff is so hilariously awful. Tried twice and gave up. Since then I've been using the local gourmet place for the family (even closer, and very good, but not as good as the old Debonairs). I'll post some pics next time - probably the sort of stuff most popular with you lot.

I still feel bitter about it when I think of pizza now. Seriously, f**k Debonairs management for ruining what may have been their one good store nationwide. Obviously they don't like managers who work their employees properly and take quality seriously.

Now this is a pizza
Holy s**t. And I thought the deep dish pizza sold all over in London was disgusting. This is some next level nastiness.

I think he lives in USA? Something about their pizza in so many documentaries and YouTube food vids is they don't seem to use many wood fired pizza ovens. Someone will visit a popular New York pizza joint and they're using an electric oven whereas here I can't imagine ever deciding to go get a good pizza from a place that doesn't have a proper pizza oven.

Different type of oven though...

They generally don't seem to use those rotary type ovens that are so popular here with pizza places.

I'll eat it ... ... Pure heart attack inducing soul food

But for a classy act ....

Casa Bella in Monte casino has for me the best pizzas around. Classic Italian, fresh and everything made fresh instore... and they surely are not stingy with their toppings

The proper buffalo mozzarella
