Well...same can be said for the Box Jellyfish ... has eyes....but no brain that we can find to process the inputs...yet somehow...it does manage.

Interesting, but surely there must be some pea in all that jelly? So can I now call Malema a Jellyfish or will that make me and agent?

The last documentary I saw it said they found the eyes...but yet to find some kind of processing structure. Perhaps it was out dated. Sorry.

I recall seeing something years ago about plants communicating via scent. As soon as one plant was being eaten it would release a scent that other plants picked up and then something happened to protect themselves but ja I can't remember what happened.

Interestingly, plants also have immune systems analogous to other "higher" organisms.

This is of course a sensationalist title from the BBC:

But plants are able to respond to various stimuli in a calculated manner. All livings things are able to do it to some degree due to homeostasis. All living things are able to to perform some sort of homeostatic function. Homeostasis requires components that can sense stimuli, process the stimuli and then respond to them in a manner that leads to self-perfective behavior (survival if you want).
