Its going to be open for any investment/finance related discussions. A part of the investment club stuff will close later on for the public, but we are not yet certain what it will be.

That is correct, the idea currently is, all is open and all will continue to be open, once the investment club is formed, then certain sub forums of that specific investment club will be hidden to the public for security and privacy reasons. The rest of the forum will still be fully accessible to the public and members.

The Investment Clubs sections will as the name suggest host more than one investment club in the future, I want to create the platform and basis for more South African investment clubs to follow. So if in the future new investment clubs want to join then we will create a secret sub forum for them as well and all the complex spreadsheets, calculations and lessons we learned will be made available to them.

My first and highest priority with this initiative is knowledge and learning by experiencing.

On a related note:

I am very excited about this, PSG has been a tremendous help by assisting us in setting all this up for free, so also has the FSB.

I also want to ensure everyone that due diligence is being followed with the encrypted storage of your submitted documents to ensure a little extra layer of security.

The open invitation period for the Investment Club will close June 15 2016 after that new members will only be recruited internally by matter of introduction via fellow members.

But to answer the question the initial amount will be EFTed then the monthly contribution, in an ideal world it would all be debit orders to make stuff easier from a admin perspective, however during the starting phases there will be a set date each month before which your funds needs to be EFT'ed if you wish to EFT.

We are using the Unit Evaluation System so it makes it easy to accommodate emergencies when it comes to the monthly contributions.
