Please advise on GPU: fan cooled or silent?

Hi and thanks for your help.
I am not a gamer and use a little bit of Photoshop sometimes and the rest of the normal stuff for home use.

I am looking into buying this card: ASUS GeForce GT 710 2GB GDDR5 - Best Deal - South Africa (evetech.co.za)

My question is about cooling. I have always had cards with fans and in the long run the fans pack up. I couldn't read anything negative about non-fan cooled cards and only want to ask here to make sure I can buy on e without a fan. (My budget is ±R1 300)

Thanks.

That's barely a graphics card, in fact it's actually slower then most onboard cards, if you only need it to expand displays sure.
Rather look at Carbonite for a decent 2nd hand card for your price. But the 710 is horrid

Ok, thank you guys. Appreciate your help.

I just registered and tried to reply to the OP to find out if it is still available but I don't have privileges to do so. (I see now that my account hasn't been approved yet.)

It seems my onboard one is not that bad.
I have an "Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 [Display adapter]" which I see compares with a "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti". Is there a way to increase RAM use by the GPU?

I highly doubt it will compete with the 1050 ti, but you can try check your bios settings.

It takes a short while.

It's nowhere near as good as any pascal-generation card, but the UHD 630 is miles better than a GT710 can still accelerate photoshop stuff with intel quicksync goodness.

If you dont actually need a GPU, I wouldn't bother adding one.
