For your enjoyment, Rain speeds in East London (sim card from www.rain.co.za, assumed to be rain mobile).

Huawei B618 Router shows 5/5 bars all the time.
[LTE] [RSRP: -95, RSRQ: -10, RSSI: -67, SINR: -2] [1800 MHz, 10 MHz, 61FA603]

Speeds right now in Amalinda, East London:

I have a shell script that uses speedtest-cli on github to do tests every hour for fun (off-peak only), you can see a log of speeds since 30/04/2019 here: https://pastebin.com/tYJwdPzU

Generally speeds are bad from midday to midnight... Here's the log for Gonubie, East London: https://termbin.com/cc2w

Also a Huawei B618, used to have 3 bar signal and poor speeds as well until this month suddenly I have full 5 bars and great speeds, Steam max speed showed over 8MB/s a couple of times, now if only they will upgrade Amalinda tower.
