Btw I changed my address on the rain website where it shows the towers, and then my connection started working again. For some reason it was listed as the address of my second sim.

Hello @rain_mobile

After your closest tower went down last night I am now stuck on a different tower further away and out of LOS giving me 12% signal strength and terrible throughput.

Kindly assist.

Geez I hate complaining, especially when there is a helpful rep actually trying to help people... But this service is getting worse and worse.

My speeds are decent, albeit erratic. My latency is the real problem though:

Tracing route to google.co.za [216.58.223.131]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 25 ms 18 ms 34 ms 10.11.65.193
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 359 ms 384 ms 428 ms 10.195.18.1
6 422 ms 422 ms 424 ms rain-41-73-54-26.rain.network [41.73.54.26]
7 417 ms 424 ms 416 ms 74.125.245.209
8 485 ms 500 ms 514 ms 172.253.65.255
9 167 ms 175 ms 184 ms jnb02s01-in-f3.1e100.net [216.58.223.131]

Ever since it started raining, the latency seems to be atrocious. The irony is real.

@rain_mobile - are you guys having backhaul problems at the moment? Are the storms affecting the wireless service? What seems to be the problem?

Just got my Rain 5G and it's looking good so far. Need to play around the flat to see where we can put it as it's currently next to a window and looks bad there lol.

Will check "peak" times, hoping it's not terrible. My current ISP, Bronberg is a hella expensive for their crappy service.

Sadly the speeds went down to below 10Mbps after 8PM at one stage I couldn't even load images on Twitter...

Cancelled immediately. This is not acceptable service.
