Hello XXXX,
Thank you for contacting Blizzard Europe Technical Support regarding this matter, I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with using our new forums.
If you are having problems accessing or using the World of Warcraft Forums, please check the following troubleshooting steps:
1. As a general step, you may want to clear the temporary internet files and 'cookies' on this computer. Please note that this may clear your saved passwords and settings for certain websites. Internet Explorer users can do this by going to the tools menu, and choosing Internet Options. Click the "Delete Files" button and the "Delete Cookies" buttons and confirm deletion of the files.
Cookies must be enabled for you to access the forums. Your browser security settings or computer security software can stop you from accessing the page properly. If you are unsure how to clear your temporary internet files, or change the security settings for your internet browser, please see your browser's help section for further assistance. You may even want to try a different web browser.
2. Make sure you are not logged in as an "Anonymous" user or character. If you log in and see your portrait in the upper right simply says "Anonymous," then either you have not created a character, or the server that your characters are hosted on may be experiencing temporary technical difficulties. You will get a "Restricted Forum" message if you are not posting from one of your actual characters.
To fix this, please go into the game and create a new character on a server and try posting with that character. This will serve as a workaround until your main character is able to show up properly and post.
3. If you receive a "Login Server Down" message, the login server itself may be experiencing a temporary downtime. This is often concurrent with login problems with the game itself, and should be resolved shortly after the login server is back online.
You can double-check the server status on the Server Status Forum as well:

4. If you receive any generic or specific "Error" when you try to post, please wait 5-15 minutes and give it another try. This can occur during website maintenance or even during login server issues (see part #2 above).
5. The forum login and password is the same as the game login. However, the forum password is case-sensitive. Please ensure that you are using correct capitalization when trying to log in to the forums. If you are unsure of the proper capitalization, we suggest logging into the Account Management page at
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/account and changing the password to something you are able to remember. The password to this page is not case-sensitive. You should then be able log in to the forums using this new password.
6. If your World of Warcraft account is currently in frozen status, or you have a payment pending, you may not be able to access the forums. If your account is frozen, please enter new payment information to continue your access to World of Warcraft. If your payment is pending, please be patient as it processes. Your access to the forums will be restored once the payment has gone through.
Keep in mind that you need retail version of a World of Warcraft account in order to log into the forums. Beta accounts and Stress Test accounts are not able to use the Community Forums, unless they have been re-created using a retail Authentication Key.
If you have any other technical issues please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best Regards,
Blizzard Entertainment Europe
