Please help with iPhone backup and restore

Hi and thank you for your help.

My phone was stolen and for now I am going to take opver my wife's iPhone 6 and she is moving back to her previous iPhone 4.
I therefor have to get all her iPhone 6 stuff over to her iPhone 4.
I have used iTunes to make a backup of iPhone 6. When I wanted to restore it to iPhone 4, I noticed that this iPhone 6 backup was not available. It took a while to see that the iOS of the two phones differ allthough iPhone 4 also has the most recent updates. I now understand why the iPhone 6 backup is not available.

Can you please help me getting the iPhone 6 backup to the iPhone 4?

Are you just wanting to port across the contacts, messages, etc?

I'm not sure about using the 6 backup on the 4. I know you can port contacts etc through iCloud though

Something like iMazing could probably help here? See they have a clone feature that allows you to download Phone A's data, and then clone that to Phone B.

Not entirely sure whether this would work doing it from a iPhone 6 to a 4 - maybe do a bit of snooping to see if other's have managed that/email them?

That all said - someone else might wade in here with a simpler option through iTunes/Terminal - but think the major issue is, as you pointed out, that they are different iOSs...

Fortunately not. She insisted as she only uses it to call, sms, fb, whatsapp and some browsing. ;)

Hello, I guess there are some files that your iPhone 4 can't support to, and I figure out a reasonable method for you. Try the following steps:

1.Extract Data from iPhone 6 backup
At first run the programme iPhone Data Recovery, which is available on RecoveryAndroid. Then it will detect your iTunes backup so that you can extract iTunes backup for iPhone without difficulty.

2. Transfer Data from computer to iPhone 4
After extracting data from backup, you can transfer to your iPhone 4. This time use the programme iPhone Transfer. When it will detect your iPhone, you can transfer data from computer to iPhone.
