Plex makes Live TV service free for 3 months

Media streaming app Plex is now offering its Live TV feature for free to all users until 30 June.

Previously, Live TV was available exclusively to Plex users who subscribed to the Plex Pass service, but it will now be available for all users.

The service requires an HD antenna and tuner, and allows you to stream free live TV to all of your connected devices.

Free is always welcome. But unfortunately not of any use in SA?

Antenna + tuner = streaming? Does not compute.

It does in so much as you have a central Plex system with HD Antenna and tuner, and you can stream that to any device that supports Plex in your house.

Ho do you do that in Plex?

AFAIK they have stopped supporting 3rd-party plugins.

Apparently with the paid LiveTV option you can. I looked into it a while ago and also found that they killed the 3rd party. You configure IPTV as tuners and then get plex to detect those.

Thanks a lot.

Will give that a try.
