Point of Sale software

Hey guys,

We have been using 4POS as our point of sale software for a long time now. It has been terrible! Their support is non-existant and the database gets corrupt really often, especially after a power outage.

Can someone recommend me any good POS software to replace 4POS? I would prefer a free/open source POS solution. We don't use touch screens at the moment. It is the basic scanner and keyboard setups.

Thanks

Two options, Pilot and easypos. I support clients on both. They not free though :( I dont think you going to find a free pos system with support free as well.

Okay will look at them. I don't really care about support, as I've never really had any....

If the POS software WORKS without braking every now and then, it will be enough.

Open ePOS...

Hey guys, I see you're having trouble with your POS - we've been customising and localising a popular open source pos system and are installing it around the country with great results so far!

We provide Elo touch screen, MYSQL or POSTGRESQL database, Linux OS, receipt printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, etc. Multipoint / multi-site solutions for restaurant and shop environments...

Take a look at our website: http://www.openconsult.co.za and let me know if I can help!

We passionately support open source and are committed to breaking the "shackles" that some other service providers tie people into.
