A suspicious package was left unattended at the Parliamentary precincts on Wednesday morning.

Parliament’s spokesperson Moloto Mothapo said the area was immediately cordoned off.

"While the police remain at the precincts and are undertaking necessary precautionary measures, Parliament confirms there is no immediate danger posed to the parliamentary community,” he said.

What could the package really do? Burn the place down?

Suspicious package? Did someone try massaging the Finance Minister again?

I would put good money on these areas now getting beefed up security and having more fencing and barbed wire deployed to the precinct... Parliament doesn't want to account to the people.
