"Political will" not enough to fix Eskom

South Africans gave a warm welcome to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent announcement about a “set of actions” to respond to the energy crisis in the country.

The plans involve steps to improve the performance of the power stations run by the power utility Eskom, the accelerated procurement of new energy capacity, and making it easier for businesses and households to invest in rooftop solar.

Which South Africans would this be? I have yet to come across anyone who didn't think these "plans" were anything more than hot air (again).
... unless of course the nod comes from other piggies lining up at the trough.

There were "experts" and Ramaphosa shills who vocally supported the plan, some even had their endearing opinion pieces published. As I said back when it was announced, we need to wait upon its execution.

Odd arguments being made lately, even the Karpowership deal, it being rightly hampered, is suddenly seen as a setback. Someone, or a group, with an interest is peddling a narrative...

But political will has and continues to be the cause of its problems.

The political will to steal.
The political will to exclude Merit to score political points.
The political will to use Eskom to reward loyal cadres with positions of power.

I think we need to get red of political will at Eskom entirely.

I remember shouting over to a bunch of ANC tw@ts once .......... "You cvnt!!?!"
One replied "I can and I will"

Over a decade later and they are still pundas and they may "will," but they havent .........
