Polo 9n Gearbox repair advise required

I unfortunately have little experience with gearboxes, let alone repairing a damaged one.

Thanks, will do. he estimates that it will cost around R3500 for parts and labor. Just not sure if it's wise to fix or replace it with a 2nd-hand gearbox.

I would find out what a used gearbox would cost anyway, just for comparisons purpose.

Not really sure about that, as i am not clued up mechanically... can you perhaps advise?

No, I only took out the gearbox on Wednesday, came here for advice before i take it in, as i didn't know what to do next.

That's a fair price, if the gearbox was 100% before it might be safer to just replace the broken parts on yours.

Make sure whoever does that work knows what they are doing because the impact may have damaged bearings etc. Also ask if there are any known issues with that gearbox, may as well sort them out now when it's all open.

Thanks hey, i will go for the repairs.. the gearbox was still in a good condition, I never had issues with it. I will also check for the bearings and ensure that all is still in good condition. Thanks again
