There have been issues on the national grid. Moby, please visit the General ADSL discussions... http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=79

It must be confusing to be a new DSL user when the whole network topples and wobbles. No worries mate. With a little bit of luck all should be fine soon.

I had the same problem. Phoned every hour for two days and I finally got a sync but they still hadn’t activated my phone line. After fighting with the call centre for 2 weeks I went to a Telkom shop and they activated everything in 5 minutes.

Telkom ADSL installations department probably gives the worst service of any other institution in South Africa. Telkom Management hide behind their call centre number 0800 456 786 the call centre employees hide behind the phrase "We will escalate the problem" every time and nothing will happen. They my as well have this as a prerecorded message. There is no other possible course of action or number.

I cannot wait for the SNO to come in because I will be thier greatest salesman getting every person that I come into contact with to move from Telkom to the SNO
