POP & SMTP servers

I've been looking at some portal/CRM VM appliances and the one asked for a SMTP / POP server to send & recieve mail to internet addresses. Can one rent these services from a company? If so, anyone know a good local one?

You can simply get email services from someone. R40 per month from Texo for email services coupled with web space.

Yes, thats for a single user though. I want to be able to manage multiple usernames to all point at that one server.
