This is the kind of research I can actually believe.

For years the more churchy members of scociety have preached about how porn turns you in to a rapist and will eventually make you like child porn.

Easy to see how this is absolute rubbish. Porn numbs you, in countries with liberal access to porn they have less rape.

Think for your self weather porn is actually a problem or not

Ag, please. He doesn't say if it's generally true or isolated or what. He just makes a bunch of general statements that may or may not be true of some, all or most boys. If it were a real problem for most boys who play games and jerk off to porn it's safe to assume he would be citing figures that confirm this. On top of which it's safe to assume that his data is from surveys which begs the question of what questions were asked and how were they phrased. On top of that, saying that boys who jerk off to porn to the point of not being able to get it up also play games is about as meaningful as saying boys who do x also play games therefore x is some how implicated in y. Where x is anything that boys do and y is some subjectively, undesirable outcome. On top of which saying that boys are ****ing to porn too much doesn't necessarily mean porn is the problem. Porn could be the what rather than the why.

Just so much sensationalist, nothingness in this article.

Zimbardo said parents needs to recognise the problem as a serious one, and monitor how much time their kids spend playing games and watching porn.
Um, phrasing?

"Right Billy, only 30 minutes of porn this week before you go to bed, m'kay?"
"But maaaaa..."

Lol. The way the article asks parents to limit the amount of porn their kids can watch sounds like the parents should be saying "you can only watch porn when you've done your homework, and no more than one hour per week".

I love how they just lump porn and gaming in together.

This is pretty low quality content, even by mybb standards.

LOL - "parents need to monitor how much time their kids spend watching porn". Yeah right. Because teenage boys usually share their porn habits with their parents.

And why are video games blamed for causing erectile dysfunction? Is it just because they're available on the same devices?

Porn can have an affect on the way you experience arousal. It's a phenomena that lots of young adults experience and there are even communities dedicated to discussing and helping other people get over the mental issue. There was a nice TED Talk on it a few years ago:

Dunno where videogames factor into the whole thing, though. :wtf:
