Content analysts will be employed to sit every day on the Internet and trace people who are putting this pornographic material out there, and especially to identify websites containing child abuse material... Our main objective is to protect children from harmful content."

I think kiddie pr0n is disgusting filth - also the same applies to adult pr0n.

I don't want such a job... even if it's good paying...

And I pity the people who have to do this job...

hehe, i think it could be quite boring after a while, but initially, it could be quite fun... sit on a relativly fast internet conection, and look at porn all day to verify that it isnt illegal...

I agree Libs. HGP told me once that all men pee in the shower, some just deny it, well I won't say I haven't taken a leak in the shower, same goes for pr0n, but I defenitely don't do it twice, a lady in a bikini or a beautiful celebrity on an elegant photograph is much nicer, and it leaves more to the imagination ;) Screw pr0n freaks, it's lame.

How will it be possible to trace someone uploading porn to a website? It will have to take very experienced IT pro's.

Once these sites or individuals had been identified, the Board hoped to get the co-operation of Internet service and access providers to have such sites removed or blocked, she said.

Is that allowed? They're clearly going to censor these websites which has broader implications for SA internet users as a whole. For example, you can't access the website www.rsa-overseas.com from SA.

This crackdown, although honourable, really shows where the government priorities are.

I don't have a problem with them implementing this if it relates to kiddie porn. But to crack down on adults from viewing adult porn is lame, everybody has a right to wank, or at the very least learn some new ideas and moves to practise with their lady friend ;) Nobody has a right to impose on another persons right to freedom.

Word!

They can shove the censoring of adult stuff up their apartheid-minded asses...

Oh, so it is not a big we-must-control-everything-the-people-see-and-do authoritarian mentality? (usualy hidden behind screens like religion, threat-of-terrorism, to-protect-the-children)
